The exhibition 100 Years of Radio Broadcasting in Montreal<\/strong> explores the birth of Radio in Montreal. The exhibition is online (click here)<\/a> as part of the Centennial of Broadcasting in Canada project<\/strong>. The exhibition received financial support from the \u201cMontreal Heritage: Enhancing Neighborhoods\u201d program. The exhibition also benefited from the support of generous donors to the Museum.<\/p>\n

The year 2020 marks the 100th anniversary of radio broadcasting in Canada. To celebrate this historic event, the Mus\u00e9e des ondes Emile Berliner and the Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 Qu\u00e9b\u00e9coise des Collectionneurs de Radios Anciens (SQCRA) have co-organized the Centennial of Broadcasting in Canada.<\/p>\n

The Centennial was planned as a year-long engaging program that showcased the development of radio technology and content in Canada. Due to the Corona Pandemic, the celebration events were transformed to online activities and projects. We hope you find this site Radio100.moeb.ca<\/a> useful as an exploration tool to browse through the history of radio.<\/p>\n
