Pierre M. Valiquette, President Expand

Valiquette, Pierre M.  Pierre is a landscape architect and a town and country planning specialist with specific expertise in the design, operation and protection of parks and natural spaces. He has experience in process management (negotiation of partnerships, facilitation, project coordination) and organizational management (business owner, organizational management advisor). A keynote speaker, trainer and author of publications on the management of municipal, community and private green spaces, Pierre is a seasoned director with broad experience acquired at several not-for-profit organizations. He was a member of the MOEB board of directors and treasurer from 2001 to 2011, and currently acts as coordinator for the new Museum project.

Timothy Hewlings, Administrator Expand

Hewlings, Timothy. An accomplished musician with a degree in music theory from McGill University, Tim was a member of the pop group “The Sceptres” during the 1960s. He worked for 15 years as a sound recordist and mixer at Les Studios Marko and at Studio de Son Quebec prior to founding Résonance TJL Inc. with partner Jean-Luc Louradour.  This acoustical consulting firm specializes in the design of audio recording studios, cinemas, and concert venues.  From 1992 until his retirement in 2012, he also held a position in the Music department at UQAM (The University of Quebec in Montreal).  He has been member of the MOEB’s board of directors for many years, and established the Museum’s first contact with Oliver Berliner.

Michael Delaney, Administrator Expand

Delaney, Michael. Since completing studies in physics and communications in 1978, he has worked as a sound recordist and mixer in a number of recording studios in the Montreal area including: Studio Six, Studio Tempo, Son Québec, Studio Morin Heights, Son Soleil and Studio Victor.  He has also recorded in studios in the U.S. and in Europe.  He has recorded or produced over 20 gold and platinum records, and has won both a Félix and a Clio award for his work.
In 1992, he became a professor of sound recording at the Trebas Institute, and since 2001 he has been the president of the Porsche Club for the Rennsport region and director of their advanced driving school. He joined the Board of trustees of the Musée des ondes Emile Berliner in 2007 and is editor-in-chief of our newsletter, "His Master's Voice".

Abibata Kone, Treasurer Expand

Kone, Abibata. School Board Commissioner in Saint-Laurent-West constituency, Abi Koné is currently the chairwoman of the Human Resources Committee of the Commission Scolaire Marguerite-Bourgeoys (CSMB). She also serves on the board of directors and executive committee of the Vanier College since 2014 as a volunteer and has served as member of the executive committee of the CÉGEP Saint-Laurent from 2008 to 2015.
Holds a Master of Business Administration from HEC Montreal (MBA) and a Master in Business Law, Mrs. Koné worked for many years in an international development bank of 76 nationalities, including Canada.
Very involved in her community, Abi Koné ensures the well-being of students and especially the most disadvantaged. She helps to protect the interests of schools and students of the School Board Commission. She also attaches great importance to culture and is often part of committees for the selection of Quebec artists as part of the integration works of art program in the schools of the CSMB.
Education is the best guarantee of success for our young people, she said. It allows them to believe in their abilities while leading them to an active and responsible citizenship.

Marc Donato, Vice-president, administrator Expand

Donato, Marc. Marc Donato a obtenu son baccalauréat ainsi que sa maîtrise et son doctorat en génie de l'Université McGill à Montréal au Canada. Il a fait ses études postdoctorales à l'Université de Göttingen en Allemagne. Il a publié de nombreux articles dans le domaine de la conception et des essais de satellites. Le Dr Donato s'est joint à SPAR Aerospace en 1983, contribuant au développement des tests du satellite Olympus. Depuis qu'il s'est joint à la direction de SPAR (MDA) en 1985, le Dr Donato a occupé diverses fonctions avec des responsabilités croissantes, y compris plusieurs postes de haute direction, dont notamment celui de directeur général de la division MDA de Montréal pendant 8 ans. Il a pris sa retraite en 2019 en tant que chef de l'exploitation (COO) des divisions canadiennes de MDA et directeur général de MDA Toronto. Par le passé, le Dr Donato a siégé à plusieurs conseils d'administration, notamment: Aéro Montréal, CARIC et le comité consultatif de la Faculté de génie de l’université McGill. Le Dr Donato siège actuellement aux conseils d'administration du Centre des sciences de Montréal, de l'École de génie Gina Cody (Université Concordia) et du Musée des ondes Emile Berliner.

Laurent Arsenault, Administrator Expand

Arsenault, Laurent. I am a civil engineer graduated from Laval University in 1978 and from Imperial College London in 1979. I completed my MBA from HEC Montreal in 1985. I have been a practicing consulting engineer specializing in forensics for 40 years. For 20 years I have been teaching at the ETS Montreal. I was a member of the Board of the Laval Symphony Orchestra for 2 years in the 1980s and I am a member of theShriners Hospital for Children- Canada Board of Governors since 2006. I have been an amateur musician for over 50 years. I joined the MOEB Board in January 2019 to actively support the evolution and development of the Museum in its magnificent work of conservation of Emile Berliner's precious technological and intellectual heritage.

Janine Krieber, Secretary Expand

Krieber, Janine. A graduate of Laval University and holder of a doctorate in political science from the Institut d'études politiques in Paris since 1992, Janine Krieber joined the Board of Directors of the Musée des ondes Emile Berliner in October 2018. She was an assistant professor in the Department of Political Science at Concordia University and taught at the Department of Strategic Studies of the Royal Military College of Saint-Jean. She also taught at the University of Montreal and at Laval University. Ms. Krieber is a young retiree from the Department of Political Science of the Royal Military College of Canada and the Royal Military College of Saint-Jean. Passionate about history and music, she intends to put her skills and resources at the service of the Museum's development.
