On December 12, 2024, the Musée des ondes Emile Berliner hosted a festive fundraising event with around 30 guests, celebrating music, history, and culture. The evening featured a live performance by Lamia Ghaouti and Laurent Arsenault, talented musicians and board members of the museum, in the iconic RCA Victor Studio.
In honor of the 125th anniversary of Emile Berliner’s move to Montreal, guests enjoyed a German-inspired dinner, followed by a music quiz hosted by museum director Dr. Anja and volunteer Gustave Arroyo.
The museum was thrilled to end 2024 on a high note. Not only did the event bring them close to their $15,000 fundraising goal, but it was also announced that the museum received a significant grant to celebrate the 125th anniversary of the Berliner Gramophone Company of Canada in Montreal.
The museum thanks the ALLIED Real Estate Investment Fund for its generous support and David Cervantes, owner of Creative Recreational Art Laboratories, for providing the historic RCA Victor Studio as the event venue.
A heartfelt thank you goes to all the donors who helped make the evening a success. Your generosity is crucial to the museum’s continued growth. Special thanks also to the hundreds of volunteers who have supported the museum for 32 years.
The Musée des ondes Emile Berliner commemorates key moments in music history and looks forward to an exciting and innovative 2025!
